Easy Starburst Nail Art Tape Tutorial

Easy Starburst Nail Art using tape

I don't often use tape for nail art, I don't have the patience to wait for the base polish to dry lol.  It is an awesome effect though so here is a design using invisible tape.  Many other youtubers use painters tape, masking tape and regular sellotape however I much prefer the clear/invisible tape as it's soft and flexible, sticks well without leaving any gluey residue and leaves good clean lines.

I regret using the silver polish (China Glaze 'Cheers To You') as it showed up every imperfection, even the polish the glitter is stuck down with is super visible under the topcoat. If I could go back I would've gone with black instead, much more forgiving.  Oh well.

Try it with blue/white, green/black, yellow/black and a million other combinations, the bigger the contrast the better!

Indie Brand Spotlight - Shimmer Polish

Indie polish brands are getting more and more popular, but they're also multiplying like rabbits!

Buying from an individual maker can be a bit daunting, never really knowing what you're going to get until it's too late.  With that in mind I'm hoping to make a new series of videos introducing you to lots of indie brands.  You'll be able to see what all the fuss is about and exactly why some of them are so wonderful.

I've started with Shimmer Polish, a range of incredibly complex glitter formulas that are available on Etsy, just click HERE to see the store, and watch the video below to find out all about the brand!
